Opening motif of Finlandia
Authentic and entertaining one hour cultural experience. Quality live music performance of Sibelius’s compositions –Finlandia, Kuusi, Romance, Rondino, Souvenir and Valse Triste - with concert soloists on violin and grand piano. Moderated performance with visual illustrations of Finnish nature on screen. Guests receive a Sibelius Finland Experience gift CD and booklet especially produced for the occasion. To summarize the experience a non-alcoholic complimentary cocktail with a taste from Finland will be served and enjoyed with the musicians after the performance.
One hour performance of Finnish composer Jean Sibelius' most important works performed in the Helsinki National Hall, built in 1901 accompanied by visual imagery of stunning Finnish landscapes.
What You Can Expect
Every person is greeted personally by host. Make your way to the centrally located Helsinki National Hall, or Kansallissali, in time for the 12:00 pm performance. Admire the impressive National Hall, built in 1901 in the national romantic style by famed Finnish architects Saarinen, Lindgren and Gesellius. Pause to snap some photos of the artist Hilda Flodin's limestone sculptures welcoming visitors to the building. Find your seats for the performance, created to give insight into the Finnish national identity and open to guests of all ages. Sit back and allow the sounds of the Sibelius Finland Experience to wash over you. Listen to master performances of Sibelius' most famous compositions. Watch the projections of images of Finland's natural scenery, combined with selected graphic illustrations by famous Erik Bruun. Leave the National Hall after the one hour multimedia performance with a better understanding of Finland, the Finnish people and their national identity. Enjoy a non-alcoholic refreshment during the after-show-artist-meeting that evokes the flavors of Finland Receive a Sibelius Finland Experience gift CD and a booklet designed and produced for the occasion.
